Each year questions about Fall Baseball creep up. Parents whose kids have played Fall Ball know how it works, but for newcomers, there is a lot of misinformation. If your kid wants to play Fall Ball, here's what you need to know:
- Fall Baseball is a low-key athletic activity, not super competive. It's a chance for kids to play new positions, and generally get more Baseball experience.
- The MBL Fall League season runs for 5 weeks, Sept. - Oct. , doubleheaders on Sundays. There are no playoffs.
- There are no tryouts, teams are formed by coaches who select 12-14 players from different teams at their age level.
- There are no AAA, AA or A levels.
- Any kid can participate - you did have to play MYBA previously.
- Fall Ball is run directly though the Metro Baseball League; you register directly with MBL, not through MYBA.
- Registration usually opens in early August. Registration
Come back later in the Summer for more information.
