Welcome to MYBA, the home for South Minneapolis kids who seriously love the great game of baseball.

MYBA, an awesome baseball experience.

MYBA offers a great baseball experience offering the best instruction, competition, leagues and tournaments available.

Does your kid love baseball? Does he religiously follow the Twins? Does he sleep with his glove? Does he have aspirations of being a great player?

If your kid truly wants to learn how to play the game the right way, MYBA is the place to be. For over 15 years, the Minneapolis Youth Baseball Association has helped hundreds of Minneapolis kids like him learn the fundamentals, and then get the opportunity to compete against the best teams in metro-wide leagues and state-wide tournaments.

MYBA ballplayers from ages 9-14 play home games in the state-of-the-art Leonard H. Neiman Sports Complex developed by the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board located in the Upper Bluff Area of Fort Snelling State Park.

New to traveling baseball? Read our Parents Primer to learn everything you need to know before signing up. If you are interested in coaching, please contact Mike Blumenfeld, 612-547-MYBA.

Parent Meetings

Due to the many changes MYBA is putting in place for 2012, the Board of Directors has decided to hold mandatory pre-season Parent Meetings. Each family is required to attend one (1) session, even if you are MYBA veterans. To accommodate schedules, we are offering 5 opportunities for you to attend:

Monday Jan 30, 7:30-8:30 PM @ Pearl Park
Tuesday Jan 31, 7:00-8:00 PM @ Armatage Park
Friday Feb 3, 7:00-8:00 PM @ Pearl Park
Monday Feb 6, 7:30-8:30 PM @ Pearl Park
Thursday Feb 16, 7:30-8:30 PM @ Armatage Park

Attendance at one session is required for your son to be placed on a roster. Due to space constraints, we request only one parent per household attends.

Questions about these meetings can be directed to the MYBA Board (millersboard@gmail.com)

MYBA Votes in New President

After many years of leading the MYBA association, Scott Zosel has decided to step down and concentrate on his new coaching opportunity at South High School. He will continue to serve on the board and be actively involved.  Thank you for your years of dedication and your continued support of the organization.

We would also like to thank Judy McQuade for her many years of volunteer work and her amazing stories of the history of MYBA.  Judy retired from the board this year, but will continue to act as a mentor to many of us.

Congratulations to Mike for taking on the position of president.  It is not an easy position to step into, but we are confident he will do very well.
